Shares of Robert Half International Inc. are trading higher in Thursday's after-hours market, following release of improved second-quarter financial results.
After the bell Thursday, Robert Half reported second-quarter earnings per share of $1.33 on revenue of $1.58 billion. In the year-ago period, the company reported EPS of 41 cents on revenue of $1.11 billion.
"We achieved record levels of revenues and earnings in the second quarter due to a broad-based, global acceleration in demand for our staffing and business consulting services," said M. Keith Waddell, president and chief executive.
At 5:19 p.m. ET, shares were trading 5.2% higher at $91. Volume at the time topped 64,000 shares.
The company's stock finished the day's regular-trading session with a 1.14% loss, closing at $85.50.
